The weather at Lernerville Speedway was beautiful. But that also created a problem. After rain washed out Ohio racetracks, those drivers that wanted to rip some laps looked for a new place to race. The only track that was starting their season in Western PA was Lernerville, and it brought in a bunch of those outsiders.

At check in, we had 31 cars. A 12 pill draw lined us up starting 3rd in the 2nd heat race. We secured the win there and redrew for the A-Main starting position.

After taking off from the outside of the front row, we were able to take the lead on the outside down the back straightaway. A caution flag flew and we had to try again. On the ensuing restart, the leader jumped up top, so we went straight to the bottom and still found a way to grab the lead before we entered turn 3. We came off turn 4 to complete lap 1 when a red flag flew. All drivers involved were safe.

A great start on the following single file restart helped us jump out to a strong lead. We largely drove unchallenged, fought off one more restart on lap 18, and celebrated with our first victory of the 2023 season. This is also our 46th victory overall in 410 Sprint Cars!
