Back In Victory Lane!

Wednesday - July - 2020

Its been a rough year to start. A lot of times, we havent shown speed, and the times when we have, bad luck has ripped good finished from our grasp. We will look back on Sunday July 26th as the day our luck might have turned around.

We were off on Friday and Saturday and spent the extra time preparing for our only weekend race at Tri-City. We started behind the 8 ball though. We had the car prepared for a rough and heavy race track. Unfortunately, the track was much drier and smoother. The worst part is, that the race track took away hotlaps and I was in the very first heat race. After engine heat, we had no opportunity to make changes for the heat race. I started 5th but grabbed 3rd, missing the redraw by 1.

We had plenty of time to get prepared for the feature. We kept our eyes on the race track and prepared to set up for slick. I tried to use different lines while driving to practice momentum tactics. The maneuverability that our car had, truly helped me do this. We passed everyone on the bottom and went from 7th the lead to win our first race of the 2020 season and also our first ever at Tri-City Raceway Park.

This win was a huge relief for myself and my team. it surely gave us some more confidence going into some of the biggest races of the season.
