Hello everyone. AJ Flick here. Thank you for reading! When I cannot get a professional release made, I will give everyone a personal write-up myself. Enjoy the Port Royal Living Legends Dream Race through my perspective!

The night started off pretty slow. There was an accident in our hotlap session and we only got to run 1 lap. I tried something in 1&2 which blew my laptime and I was over a second off the leaders pace. Fortunately, I knew we were still fast. I went out for qualifying excited to pt down a good lap time until we started having fuel issues coming to get the green. When it was said and done, we were a dismal 33rd of 35.
Port Royal had a very unique format for this event. It included 2 semi features of 16 laps. The top 10 transferred from each. However, due to my horrible qualifying run, I was marred back in 17th for the start. The fuel issues were fixed and by the end of the 16 lap semi, we had moved up into 9th position to transfer directly into the big main event!
By finishing 9th in the first semi, we began the feature event from the inside of row 9, in 17th. The track was packed in very hard during the intermission and actually lost a ton of grip. The car was still working well but i know we had the potential to be faster if I could’ve gained a little more drive in the slick. We were up to about 11th when a red flag flew on lap 25. All crews were able to come out on the speedway to refuel, check air, and make adjustments. I think we did make the car better but we didn’t keep pace with the other drivers and their changes. With only 10 laps to go, we fought hard but fell to a 14th place finish.
Against this field of cars, with these caliber of drivers, a 14th place is very good in our books. We worked very hard just to rebound from our qualifying issues and race our way into the show. It was a late night but we are already looking forward to the next visit to Port Royal Speedway.
Thank you to all the fans that have supported me in my visits to the speedway. We are learning every week and I truly believe we can reach the front stretch victory lane at some point in our future.
