Busy and Behind

I know, I know… I’m not doing a good job keeping my site updated. You are correct. Racing has been in full swing this year. We have had minimal rainouts and the amount of times i’ve been involved in accidents this year has really limited my free time. We’ve been fortunate lately. I never want rainouts but they do help myself, and my crew recharge by giving us some extra time off.
I’m not sure if I really have anything new to report. I’ll do my best to summarize it by speedway.
Lernerville has been much of the same story for the past 3 months…RAIN. We’ve ran maybe 2 or 3 times and I have stayed up front, but have yet to secure a victory.
Sharon has been good to us. Top 3s in all local shows, including a 9th place against the Allstar Circuit of Champions back in June for Ohio Speedweek.
Port has been hit or miss. We have been learning a lot there lately. Had a quicktime during the Weikert Memorial but struggled in the feature. Ran top 10 a few times, including a recent finish of 9th on July 10th. Yet, we’ve had our normal struggles and finished back in 15th or so. All in all, that place is beyond difficult with great competition. Its hard to be perfect night in and night out there and its our goal to continue to make improvements to get back to where we know we can finish; in the front.
Tri-City has been a very bright spot for us this year, yet has also been a very dark spot. Everytime we show up there, we are a great car, including quicktime during the Western PA Speedweek show. However, the last 2 times we have been there, we have destroyed 2 racecars, running in the top 5. Whether its bad luck, or bad decisions by myself, I need to do a better job of keeping my car out of those situations. Other than that, weather, the speedway schedule, and special Sunday races out East, have largely kept us away from Tri-City. Nonetheless, we do plan on getting back there soon.
We are better now than we were in 2020. Results may not show because I keep having DNFs, but our speed is more evident to me and the crew. Still along way to go with a lot of big money races later this year and we plan to keep improving.
