Always Push Forward

A lot has happened since my last press release. To be honest, I don’t even know where I should begin. So I’ll just go over some quick recaps.
We’ve been consistently travelling to Lernerville to race their weekly Friday shows and the Commonwealth Clash. We grabbed 3 wins in a row locally through the months of July, was forced to start dead last, and drove up to 6th. Since then, we picked off another 2nd place and more top 5’s. The Outlaws came into town on 9/26/2020. Unfortunately, our qualifying time was quite far off the pace and we barely made the feature through the B-Main. We were lapped early in the feature and pulled in, credited with a 24th place finish.
As for Port Royal, we tried so hard to get back on pace there and we just couldn’t find the speed to make it happen. We had quite a few finishes between 10th and 20th and struggled to make any of the shows during the big Tuscarora 50 weekend. We were 2nd in the heat race on Friday and blew a rearend apart. As for Saturday, we started deep in the field for the B-Main and came within 1 position of transferring to the A-Main until a wreck destroyed our car. I’m happy to say we won’t have to go back there until 2021. As much as I love the place, it sucks how bad we struggle sometimes.
There were races scheduled for Sharon, but we lost that date due to cancellation from COVID. Mercer took the replacement race, however, we chose to skip that event. The only other speedway we were able to get to was Tri-City and Selinsgrove.
Selinsgrove was a special race on 9/5/2020. Track was very fast and we were highly inexperienced. Luck helped us gather enough passing points to start pole of the feature. We raced in 5th for a while but faded to 8th on the last lap.
Tri-City Raceway occupied our time on 9/19 and 9/20 for the Applefest. We qualified 3rd and won our heat race. Started outside pole for the feature and our front wing collapsed on lap 2. We fell back to 6th with a difficult to handle car. Luckily, an open red allowed us to at least get the right side of the wing back up so it no longer created a negative lift on our front end. in the last 9 laps, we were able to get back to 3rd and start running the leaders down, but just ran out of time.
We still have 3 race weekends left in the 2020 season. I plan to go out on top and we will do our best to get towards the front. After the Steel City Stampede weekend is over, we will start prepping long and hard to make sure 2021 is a better season than we had in 2020.
