A New Season Upon Us
Monday - March - 2025
After another successful season that culminated in 3 Track Championships and 11 more victories, we have our sights set on even bigger goals in 2025.
The regional sprint car scene is very diverse right now. As far as tours go, The AllStar Circuit of Champions had returned, the FAST Sprint Car Series is still optional, and the Ohio Valley Sprint Car Association has a tour of dates mixed in as well. As for local racing, Lernerville is still a regular Friday night track, and they increased their purses this year as well. In a controversial move, Tri-City left their Sunday night regularity and have also moved to Friday, hosting the same divisions. I don’t agree with this move and I think it will hurt both speedways, but that’s a conversation for another day. Saturday is open and spread out across quite a few different racetracks. Sharon Speedway has the most Saturday dates with almost 10. Mercer has about 5, and PPPMS has another 3.
Take out the local racing and we still have the option to travel to Central PA. Their race season has already begun with the Icebreaker 1 week ago. Port Royals season starts March 8th, and there is a TON of racing outside those tracks. Path Valley is back on the 410 schedule with a High Limit show and a PA Speedweek date. Port Royal also has some HUGE High Limit events with the Weikert Weekend and the Tuscarora 50 week. High Limit then goes to Lernerville for 3 dates. We will hit a few of the World of Outlaw shows at Sharon but anymore are still to be determined.
I would love to run some POWRi events and follow more tour dates, but sponsorship is required for that endeavor. We should be scheduled for a few ASCoC and FAST events. Ultimately, the most important things to pay attention to this year will be how the tracks and tours hold up. Do the fans continue to attend? How many cars are at each event? Do purses go back down? Do tracks close up? It’s going to be a very difficult year for some tracks and drivers. It’ll be interesting to see how it all plays out. As for me, I will go wherever we need to so I can continue racing and trying to build my program!
I would not be where I am today without the support of some great businesses, family, and friends.
