2 for 2!
Tuesday - April - 2025
It took over a month for weather to cooperate and allow us to attend our 2nd race of the 2025 season. This took place at Tri-City Raceway Park for their season opener, a racetrack where we have had an extreme amount of success over the past few years.
Our night started with a solid #12 pill draw. Unfortunately, that still lined us up to start 3rd in heat 1. Our car was a bit average, but we were able to search around to find a faster lane and eventually make a pass for the lead coming off turn 4 to the checkered flag! Ironically enough, we were slated to start 3rd again rolling off for the A-Main. After a bad lap 1, I dropped to 5th place. I kept searching the speedway looking for other lines to pass and eventually worked my way to the lead by lap 10. We led pretty comfortably the rest of the way to secure our 2nd win of the season in our 2nd race.
The event at Tri-City occurred on their “new” surface in front of ownership that began their first true full season as owners. The surface was very dusty and abrasive but smoother than it’s even been in the past. Unfortunately, because of the cost of travel, pit passes, food, and especially tires, it will be far more cost effective for us to race at Lernerville Speedway during future Fridays. Our program has been pushing hard to find additional partners to help us branch out or follow a regional tour and those efforts just simply have not panned out yet. But that is okay. We will continue to race within our means and strive for the most amounts of success that we can, given these situations. Im extremely thankful to have partners, crew, and family that continue to support me week in and week out.
Our upcoming schedule for this week is Lernerville on Friday, Port Royal on Saturday, and Lernerville again on Sunday.
